DJ onenine is a DJ, MC, Beatmaker, Graphic Artist, B-BOY and Musician. From the city of New Orleans. Sample and live instrumentation are used in his production. From grimy Wu sounding tracks, Oldschool 808 joints, to Jazzy mid-tempo joints, Nine has a wide veriety of styles.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Mixing for over 12 years and making tracks for over 6, NINE has worked with numerous underground artists around his hometown city of New Orleans. NINE has taught himself to play drums, mix, and is currently learning to play bass and guitar.
The list of artist NINE has worked with include:
M.A.S.T., SALAAM, and members of PSYCHOWARD, to name a few. NINE also mixed on collage radio, WTUL, at Tulane University in New Orleans, and NINE also joined his friends TROUBLEMAN and DAVESOUL at FLYFM.NET, and exposed the world to SWAT (strictly wrecking all techniques). This crew worked 6 turntables at once serving up party style turntable manipulation carefully mixed with turntabalism that made quite an impact in the New Orleans area. Frequent spotings at events at the famous CAFE BRAZIL in downtown New Orleans and the party "institution" known simply as FILLET OF SOUL.

Roland W-30 sampler, Ibanez acousic electric, Trap drums, Two 1200s, Stanton sk 2f mixer, Final Scratch, and My PC.
