Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Formed in 1998 by Cris Brown and Jereme Hubble . Finding solid members in Kevin Scott and Brian Kirk , the band began performing throughout the south to anyone who would listen. OLR Began playing for small crowds that soon grew to 200-300 per show in their hometown of Jackson, Tenn. OLR recorded new 4 song demo at Tree Studio's in Atlanta, Ga. with producer Rick Beato in January of 2003. The newly recorded songs have gained quick attention from the music industry and radio stations across the south. OLR has begun to reach a wider audience with the help of 105.7 in Union city, Tenn, WZZL in Paducah,Ky, WMFS and The Buzz (94.1) in Memphis, Tenn. Opening slots with Saliva and Trust Company has helped increased awareness and establish a fan base. In March of 2003 One Less Reason Signed with BRPM Management and Scott Lepore (Cutters, Skindot,Wonderful Johnson) in order to take this project to the next level.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
At the current time One Less Reason is showcasing to major record labels in New York City, Orlando Florida and wherever else the opportunity arises. We've played hundreds of shows locally and in surrounding areas so right now we mainly want to focus on showcasing or a national tour of some type.
Your musical influences
Our musical influences vary for each member. Vocally and lyrically Rob Thomas is a big inspiration for Cris (OLR's vocalist). While at the same time we have a backround of very heavy music which is why we have a heavy guitar sound incorporated into the heartfelt lyrics Cris writes and the melodies he brings. We feel it is a sound that stands out in the crowd.
