Omnos
Omnos - "Dark Acoustic Music For The Soul"
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
"Omnos" was born after a few other incarnations including my proper name and "Solace Eterna". I do most of my writing and performing solo, but my wife sang background on my last album and I have some remixes in the works(and some finished) for this album as I *love* electronic music as well.
I will continue to record all acoustic music under this name but may branch out and begin programming electronic music with acoustic touches under other monikers.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Not often anymore. I play mostly church events, but have played some Goth clubs as my "sound" is nice and dreary and fits well.
I love playing live when there is a large appreciative audience. There's a great "high" after a good performance.
My most memorable performance was at Fusions in Waikiki at a Goth Night. People were taking pictures as I played, and I felt especially "on".
Perhaps with this album I will begin performing live again...........
Your musical influences
My "acoustic" influences are: Tons of Metal bands including: Morbid Angel, Deicide, Testament and *way* too many more to mention(I get tired just thinking about it). I play many "broken" and open chords using triads and other finger-placements that amuse me. I really try to be different and I can't think of anyone in particular to compare myself to.
One person said "Death In June" and I may be similar to Ostara but my lyrical approach is unique to myself. You tell me!!!!
What equipment do you use?
Yamaha "Eterna" guitar, Ibanez amp and Sennheiser microphone. Also a Boss BR-1180 Recording Studio.
Anything else?
