Oliver Southgate
I'm Oliver Southgate, a singer/songwriter from Essex, Uk. My songs are a mixture of Rock, Country and Blues, but whatever style I'm playing it is all about the music. The songs are like little philosophy chunks on life as I see it.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
I started out writing and recording my songs by myself but have recently started a band so I can play them live.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
I play with my band at pubs in Essex, UK

What equipment do you use?
Cole Clark Fat Lady Acoustic Guitar and a Fender El Rio Acoustic guitar with a Marshall AS50 Amp and a Fender guitars with a Marshall Hayes amp. Fender Startocaster, Fender Telecaster, Fender Jazzmaster, HM Strat. I use Cubase to record the songs. Other instruments to look out for are a 12 string guitar, Spanish guitar, Djembe and Darbuka drums and harmonicas.
