Band/artist history
Old Season are a Heavy Metal band hailing from the hallowed green pastures of Eireann. The band has been in existence in some form or another for a very long time under various different guises but it is only in the last few years that a truly stable line-up has been forged. Taking their cue from the masters of old such as Iron Maiden, Thin Lizzy, Manowar, Candlemass, Judas Priest etc and intertwining that with the haunting, atmospheric depth of 90's European metal stalwarts such as Amorphis, Therion, Samael, Tiamat, Gods Tower, The Gathering etc and creating something truly unique in todays scene. A sound which is neither retro nor contemporary, it is simply "Old Season" classic atmospheric true Heavy Metal. The new Old Season cd "Volume One..." will be realeased on June 12th '04 and this will see the band take to the road for extensive gigging in support of the release. The self produced debut disc will offer the listener an extensive view into the world of Old Season with its ferocious heavyness, beautifully sung melodic heavy metal vocals, eerie and haunting keys, and a True Metal spirit which is hard to find in today's scene..
