Occupied Nation
We're a punk rock band from V-Town, Vashon Island. It's kinda near Seattle. We write about stuff that pisses us off, try to point things out that we don't think people know, and sometimes just write stories about random shit and turn it into songs. The whole point of punk and anarchy is no rules thus we don't give our band sound or subject any rules.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
We've had a bunch of members. We really just started being like a real band and having fans and shit.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
We play live whenever possible. Mostly on Vashon. We like when we can play fuller sets. Once our lead singer dropped his pants on stage at a high school open mic. It ruled.
Your musical influences
Good ol' three chord punk like Minor Threat, Casualties, Misfits. More "advanced" punk rock stuff like Leftover Crack and Choking Victim and they also tie into some ska stuff like Less Than Jake and the legendary Operation Ivy.
What equipment do you use?
Guitars, amps, basses, PAs, speakers, drums, screams, moans, puking noises, and some real vox.
