"RENAISSANCE IS TAKIN' OVER THIS YEAR!!!" Billed "California's Best Kept Secret", O. Beast delivers thought-provoking lyricism while, at the same time, manages to maintain a marketable edge. Although this Gardena, California native has the ability to "attack a track", he chooses to do so without using profane language. "I wanna make bangin' tracks for the streets, but at the same time, I wan't my mom to be able to sit back and listen to me without feeling embarrassed or uneasy", he says. The Beast is a true talent and the streets should keep their eyes peeled, because, "[He's] takin' over this year!!!".
Have you performed in front of an audience?
Local talent shows and what not. Nothing major yet.
Your musical influences
All give you a list: 1. Tupac Shakur-this is the man that made me want to pick up a pen. I was listening to his greatest hits CD one day, and I just decided, "I'm gonna be a rapper" 2. Eminem-the best rapper out right now. Skill is unmatched. Incredible multis, punches, etc. The total package 3. Jay-Z-a lot of people say I remind them of Jay. I guess I can see it...both of us focus on lyricism, yet at the same time have some commercial appeal. 4. Knockout-I love this man (in a non-homosexual way)!!! He has made me so much better. He is one of the best rappers that I know personally. Everytime I write a verse I keep him in mind. "If i said this, would it impress Knockout? Or if i did this verse on a track with Knock, would I get shown up?" Healthy competition always makes people better. 5. R-tistic-My producer. He put the fire in me. He told me to step my game up and polish my lyrics up. I think I'm still getting that polish, but I'm still nicer than most. I owe him a lot...he got me in the studio for the first time in my life. I LOVE YOU RON!!!!
