The soulful voice of a crunk India Arie moving with the hip popping, belly dancing style of an African Ciara/Shakira and the amazing funk and energy of Gwen Stefani.Band/artist history
20 year old Nykita is a natural born performer coming from a large, musical Liberian family. Moving to the States when she was very young, her love and appreciation for music grew as she was introduced to artists who would soon become some of her largest influences including Anita Baker and Lauryn Hill. In 1994, Nykita and her family returned to Liberia where she was exposed to the musical culture of her country which inspired her performances on stage even at such a young age. The family then relocated to Ivory Coast in 1996. Once again, Nykita's admiration for African music, especially African dance, bloomed. Upon her second arrival in the States, Nykita fell in love with the Ska genre, most notably, No Doubt.
Now residing in Atlanta, her veneration for music and ability to excite with tantilizing dance, continues to grow. All of the travels of this young woman throughout the world have instilled in her a diverse love for music and dance that will prove to be the unique, and refreshing component missing in the Soul genre.Have you performed in front of an audience?Yes at several venues throughout Atlanta

Yo, I see that you have been busy.....Everything sounds good. I love to see people being successful, and you definetly are. Stay up, and if you need some tracks let me know, because I am unloading my R&B.Your page looks great Nykita. I'm listening to the tracks on your page - so I'll give you a review of each track -
Don't Go - Beat is great - enjoy the live sounds (guitars and horns) You've got some amazing vocals aswell. Very strong! You just said "in the ATL" that explains it - Most of the artists that I am "really" into, and have followed for most of my life come from the ATL -
Fairy Tales - Nice opening harmony - Enjoy the laid back feel - and guitars are nice. (reminds me a bit of Heather Headly)
Earth Child - The drums are perfect. Complex vocal layers on the hook are impressive
Back Up - There it is - the club banger - Different sound for you - It's great - (breaking it down on the hook for real - reminds me of listening to TLC back in the day)
Need You Now - Quite the picture for this track :) Reminds me of Tamia - nice slow love track
Hope all is well with you - I really enjoyed listening to the tracks you've got posted - I'll be sure to check back oftAjust hit ya manz up
