NoWayOut is a melodic punk-rock band from Barcelona born in 1998. The line-up is formed by Txosse (vocals & guitar), Noel (vocals & guitar), Japo (bass & backin’ vocals) and Oxi (drums). From a solid basement, classical in the punk-rock scene, with bands like Bad Religion, No Use For A Name, Lagwagon or Nofx, they've gone one step further, not usin' again the same old already-heard sounds. Their punk-rock has evolutioned going near bands such as Simple Plan, New Found Glory, Blink 182, Good Charlotte, Sum 41, MxPx... but usin' their own style.
NoWayOut has edited two demos, they're in some national and international compilations and have edited an album called ''Long Way To Nowhere'' (Outline Recs., 2001). They've played with important bands such as Lagwagon (openin' their 2003 Spanish Tour), Satanic Surfers (2002 Spanish Tour), Randy, Heideroosjes, Not Available, Useless ID and more. They've played in the more important Spanish venues and in various places like Fnac in Barcelona and some tv shows (Tve 2, Btv). We could definitely say that NoWayOut is a reference in the Spanish punk-rock scene.
They’ve just edited their second album, called “Waitin’ For Sunday” (Bottleduck Recs. / Bcore Disc). It's been recorded durin' November-December 2002 and January 2003 in Ultramarinos Costa Brava Studio, produced by Santi García. 14 songs where NoWayOut show their evolution, writin' more complete songs, usin' more speeds and rhythms, with two-and-three-vocals melodies that get into your head from the first time.
