Not Now Bernard

Not Now Bernard formed in very late 2002, we are christians and we play a catchy mix of funk/poppy rock and whatever the hell else you want to throw in too

Forming around Christmas in 2002, Me (Dave G) Dave D and Ant started up without a bassist, practicing covers of Finch and Eve 6 to perform at a monthly event called 'The Zone' run by our church. Phil, who had never really played bass before was drafted in to play with us on these covers, and we were impressed by his quick mastery of the instrument. We quickly moved to original material, as we realised we really sucked at covers, writing Paradox in early January of 2003. We recorded a live EP in the summer of that year of 5 of our songs, and at Christmas recorded an 11 track album in only 2 days. We are now trying to practice, write and play live as much as possible.

We try and play live as much as possible, mainly at a small event called the Zone at the moment, we are also currently playing the local pubs/clubs
