You've picked out a well used chord progression that many a rocker has used. I started using this on Chuck berry'e Johnny B. Goode then went on to jam with "Wipe Out", "Let It Roll" (this has been done under "Let it Rock" also, but it's chuck Berry's Tune.) Ray Charles did a diddy called" What I Say" and I sometimes thow in "Memphiz" even though the beat is different. You can get away with murder on stage doing a live concert.
Don't be discouraged if this many have used it there's no reason for you not to make another hit out of it. I only recognized it because I have been in music for over 36 years and I always have said there is no reason to reinvent the wheel. Others may have used this riff n another chord, but it's a standard for old R & R and for some of the new stuff. Stay with it you're on the right track. I will keep an eye out for some lyrics for you.
I think it's the bass that is still not too clean.Try a synthesized bass line. I really like the Synthesize effect on my mixer. The music is great, keep at it.
