PASSION Melodic, beautiful, and heavy....enter the next chamber of hardcore and metal...Noetic. Four men, with love and meekness bring forth a militant attitude to fight the strongholds of this present society, and bring forth love to those who are seeking something Greater. "Our first goal is to strengthen our brothers and sisters of faith to stand strong in what they believe, and our second is to bring forth love to the unloved and touch the untouched ", states front man Jae. Heart thumping drum beats... Blood pumping guitar riffs... And thought provoking lyrics that at times you cant help but scream out... Noetic has begun to make their mark on the hearts of many.

HISTORY Noetic began early in 2002 with a concept and direction. By the end of 2002 the concept and direction had grown with several line-up changes, and a few shows under their belt. February of 2003 was the bands first recording, a two song demo that was used to pass out at shows and build up presence. During this year, doors were opened up as the band played Cornerstone independently, and as a backup for San Diego based Hip Hop hero Dirt. Many positive connections were formed. Most notable was a sponsorship from One Truth Clothing, a company that spreads its message of Love, Truth and passion in Christ through thought provoking and clever-shirt designs. Also in 2003, the band was blessed to share the stage with several successful bands, namely Bleach, Skillet, and East West. Late in 2003 a four song EP was recorded entitled "Songs of Freedom" of which the title was inspired by Bob Marley, one of the many eclectic influences of the band. In 2004, Noetic had begun to stretch its horizons by playing as far as they can reach, with shows in Alabama and northern Michigan, and as far west as Chicago. Noetic continues to tour as frequently as possible to claim ground with their message.

BIO Based in Youngstown OH, Noetic is a passionate Hard Rock/Metal/Hardcore band with heartfelt lyrics and groove oriented music. The name is borrowed from the Greek, which pertains to perception or intellect. The name is fitting for a band that puts much thought into its lyrical content and musical style so that one can effortlessly relate. The roster includes front man and vocalist Jae Devlin, guitarist Rick Girt, drummer Ben Girt, and bassist Ryan Crooks. With musical inspiration coming from Bob Marley, Haste the Day, U2, Meshugga, Galactic Cowboys, Hatebreed and Tool, the resulting mix often ends up being both melodic and rhythmically heavy. Personally, the members of the band come from different backgrounds. Their personal struggles and accomplishments color their passion for music. If asked, any of them are willing to share and strive to be open and honest with their life experience. The impetus of the band is faith, and standing strong in what they believe in. Much of today's music focuses on the dark colors in the portrait of life. Noetic draws attention to the light, and shows that there is hope and encouragement still alive and strong.
