Band/artist history

Mathias had been listening to Ultima Thule for several years and wrote some songs just for fun. He sent them over to Valhalla Records who told him they were great and that they would use them for the band Mjölner. That was never his intention, He just wanted a review of what people thought of the songs and since they seemed to be okay he also went further and wanted to create a band.

Mathias have been playing the guitar since 98 and had recently met his former girlfriend that played Bass, thats how Johanna got introduced in the band. They started rehearsing at a local youth centre and started looking for a drummer, thats when they contacted our former member Andreas, he was singing and playing the guitar in the punkband Soypooh with Patrik and had been playing the drums for 8 years before that so I figured he might be the right man for the job.

However later they wanted to use a second guitarist to get a more heavier sound and therefore Andreas took the guitar and choir while Patrik was introduced behind the drums.
This line-up played for around 2 years until they experienced some conflicts between some of the members which caused the band to split. Mathias and Johanna continued alone for a couple of months and recorded 2 songs and then Patrik rejoined the band.

After this they had been searching for a guitarist for a long time and asked Daniel to help them over a few gigs which turned out to be absolutely perfect. He was just the kind of guitarist they were looking for and he added something that had been missing in the band for several months due to the earlier problems.

Have you performed in front of an audience?

Yes. We love to play live. Its such a rush. Kuggnäsfestival 2005 and Germany is two special moments.
