Band/artist history
The original line up of 969 was Ken(guitar),Mike(guitar),Ed(bass) Frank(vocals),Andy(Drums). Not too long after we started, we put out our first self titled cd.Then down the road we lost Mike and picked up Guido. After recording a 3 song ep Andy decided to part ways.He was replaced by Justin who also played in the local hardcore scene. And soon after Guido left and we picked up a another guitarist KEETER.We went back into the studio and recorded the Ostracized demo, which was never really released. This new cd gave the world a glimps of the new 969 sound. After a ton of shows Keeter left the band and we were back to a four piece. Some time past and along came Tommy to fill the spot of 2nd guitarist.Shortly after his joining the ranks,we put out a live tape that was recorded at sea sea's in moosic P.A.,and a live cd which included the show from Sea Seas and a show from a benefit we played at.Well Tommy has left the band but not before recording the new cd, "Moment Of Clarity". At the present time, we are back to being a four piece and still going strong. And yet another chapter starts for NINESIXNINE. CHAPTER TWO: After playing numerous shows with this line-up(frank,ed,ken, justin),another setback occurs- justin leaves the band. After a few months of searching for a new drummer we come across SCOTT.After a few practices it was clear that he was to be part of this adventure. So with SCOTT aboard this story will only get better! .2003 update- we are now working with a new drummer and have begun working on a new CD.
