Ninepages

Ninepages are a Progressive Metal band from Croydon (South-East London). We've been together since Feb. 2005. We recorded our first demo at the start of May at RMS studios, and playing our first gig shortly afterwards at The Mean Fiddler in london.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Biography Ninepages is the result of two bands formed around January 2005. Eliot, Russ & Francois met over various band forums and message boards and formed a melodic rock/metal band called Keyaro. James parted ways with Chapter at the end of 2004 and started looking to for a new band with his friend and bassist Alex. Eliot had been a fan of Chapter and took the opportunity to have a session with Alex and James, with Russ filling in as a session drummer. Both bands we're off to a great start so Eliot suggested that the two separate bands have a session together, which turned out to be a great success. The newly formed 5 piece argued for about two months on a band name across nine pages of posts on their personal forum and it just seemed apt to adopt the Ninepages moniker. The members all have very different tastes and influences which contribute to the Ninepages sound. Influences range from A Perfect Circle to Deftones to Meshuggah. The band recorded their first demo on the 7th and 8th of May 2005, which so far have received great reviews. They will be playing shows all over London this coming summer so be sure to check them out.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Yes we do, anywhere we can - Locally, and up in around london, going to cornwall this summer. Ofcourse we like it, every gig has its special moments.
