LISTEN TO "TO DIE WOULD BE AN AWFULLY BIG ADVENTURE"!!!!!! Nineball is a Four-peice pop-punk/rock band from Monticello, KY. They've released three independent cd's and two on Party Girl Records ("She's A Killer EP" and "As My Heart Burns Out") They're becoming well known in KY and surrounding states for their energetic live shows and their complex but catchy songs. Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Joe Stockton- Vocals, Guitar Adam Hopper - Drums Will Simpson - Vocals, Guitar John Alexander - Bass Will and Adam came together in 99' out of the ashes of a pop-punk band called Push 900. They recruited bass-player Joe Stockton. The three released 3 independent cd's and played several regional shows. After a while they felt they wanted to expand on their growing musical style and to do that they needed two guitarists. So, in Dec. 02' they recruited long time friend and bass player John Alexander and Joe Stockton moved to guitar. They have since then, signed with Party Girl Records and put out an EP and a full length album. They've toured with bands such as Change 58 and opened for national acts such as Pax 217. They show no signs of slowing down and plan to tour even more heavily in the future.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
We play all the time, mostly regionally but we're starting to tour farther away from our home town.
Your musical influences
Fall Out Boy, The Starting Line, Blink182, Panic! At The Disco, Relient K, Bleach, Change 58, and New Found Glory are just a few.
What equipment do you use?
We use Gibson Guitars, Fender and Ernie Ball basses, Marshall and Ampeg Amps, and OCDP Drums.
Anything else?
We are not just about punk rock. We are all Christians and we do this for Jesus Christ. We aren't preachers or anything but we feel we need to tell people about the hope we have.
