a song recorded for my first band, fragile. sitting alone in the studio, late at night. sounds of missing summer, sounds of missing childhood.
hello, you.
hello.
so i picked up a guitar.
and strummed it once or twice.
and wrote these songs
very carefully
so haphazardly
so you could see my world
and feel what i feel
here we go.Band/artist history
in the summer of my 15th year, i met a girl and we started a band. calling it fragile, we made music as beautifully could, until tensions ran high and i called it quits.
after that, i played bass for an undescribable experience called zimmermans note. we stived towards rock'n'roll notoriety, and destroyed a lot of equipment along the way. over time, however, the bonds wore thin and we just decided to let it go.
after that, i spent a lot of time writing songs alone, just my little epiphone and four track recorder. for a time i contemplated trying to start a band again for these songs.
and then, i realized that maybe they were perfect the way they were:
just me
and my guitar
and my voice
and where i've been.
so here i am now.
nikku neko, with acoustic guitar in hand and song in heart.
here we go...Have you performed in front of an audience?i play in little clubs sandwiched between loud rock bands, with audiences that aren't afraid to sit indian-style around the stage and let me lull them to sleep. just like kindergarten again.

Dereck Blackburn Loves Nikku Nekko
Hey, I really enjoyed our stuff, my favorite being Blackbird. I look foward to hearing more of it. We may have potential, but our other guitarist and singer is off to fight in Iraq. Unless I write something without him (which wouldn't feel the same), then you'll have to wait till he gets leave, or till his term is up in three years. See you then.
I like the stuff I heard. Keep the creativity going.
