Hi there all! We were with mp3.com to start with, but they went bust! so after looking around abit we came to soundclick because they seemed the best around. We are a two piece band, Dan and Roch. Dans plays guitar and Roch play's the bass and does vocals. We have had to use a number of different drum machines (not all have been great) but for our new album we have used a top quality machine that makes it hard to tell its not a real drummer! Our music style is generally funk rock, but we have both been influenced by early punk music and alot of the classic act's of the 60/70's such as the 'Doors' 'Jimi Hendrix' 'Cream' 'Led Zepplin' and so on! Our main influence would be "The Red Hot Chili Peppers" Their old stuff is best, as it has the perfect blend of Funk and Hard punk. We have an album avalible called 'Self Expression' if you should want a copy please dont hesitate to get in contact with us. Also look out for our Latest album (still Untitled & Recorded in mid Novermber 2004) there will be a few free sample tracks on the site for you to listern to!
Band/artist history
First formed as "Black Death" still as school kids way back in 1993. We have both been in several bands since then including 'Econoclast' 'Lump Sucker' and 'Desert Mouth'. We both teamed up together again in 2002 to make our first proper album, which was a great learning curve.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
Being a two peace band has made it hard to achieve a decent live set up worthy of an audience. But this is somthing we are working to over come.
Your musical influences
John frusciante,Flea, Eric Clapton, David Bowie, The Cure (we went to the same school as Robert Smith!), The Doors, Rage Against The Machine, Jimi hendrix, Metallica, Led zepplin,Nirvana,... lot's lots more!
What equipment do you use?
Roch uses: Warwick streamer Bass Dan uses: Fender Stratocaster (USA) Gibson SG (USA) Fender Acoustic DC-01 Eco 12 string Acoustic Jackson 6-string electric Fender Squire (Start Copy) 100 Watt Marshall stack amp With Digi-tech multi Effects box
Anything else?
Sit back, Chill and listern!
