Band/artist history
I was born on the mean streets of Ponsonby, Auckland, trawled around student parties by my student parents and raised on u2 and Bruce Springsteen - "Born in the USA" was my favorite song at the age of 5, but I only knew the chorus, which was fun for everyone.
I started playing the trumpet when I was 11, gave up and started writing poetry, then started playing guitar when I was 17 cos rock stars get more chicks
I played in a few badly named bands at school, particularly "exerimental" outfit many shades of brown, but we burnt out before our time, really.
I been goin it alone ever since, and have released a couple of self-made cds to friends and all that, but this is my first internet-y thing. hopefully will even have a website soon -woohoo, big time! will keep this site updated.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
I play at the Brix Bar in Auckland, New Zealand (the little blip on the map next to Australia), on Thursday nights whenever I can. I am awesome all the time. Well, every now and then at least

Jeff Buckley, Jack Johnson, The Beatles, Ryan Adams, Norman Cook. I do kind of acoustic folksy things with hip-hop/electronic beats (ever since my drummer went to become a teacher,sodding do-gooder that he is)
What equipment do you use?
I use Cool Edit Pro and Fruityloops for the beats, a Karina acoustic guitar, and a fender squire strat with a noisy little 10 watt amp

Dear Nick,
It's been a long time coming, but I finally have a new song up. It's a song I wrote to my Daddy four days before he passed away. It was God's way of telling me that it was his time.
This is not the final version of the song. We recorded it in a hurry as I thought I was leaving town. The next version we'll take our time. It needs to be a bit slower, with less cymbals, and better vocals. The timing on it is a bit off as well.

I FINALLY have another song posted. It's an instrumental version of my newest song. I should have the vocals done and the song complete in the next few weeks. I hope that you'll stop by my page and check it out. It's called, "The Sixth Sense". It's a huge milestone for me as it's the first song that I've done all on my own.
