Band/artist history
The formation of the band began in June 2006. Tom Goacher and Adam Coombe had the idea of getting a band together, along with Nikki Gallagher and Melv Chapman. They all agreed that this would be a good idea, as music was a passion that they all shared. Now they had their minds set on producing music together, practices could begin. Practicing began with just Tom and Adam turning up, because Nikki and Melv said they were busy. Together, they learnt 'Nothing Else Matters', 'Iron Man', and 'I'll Be There For You'. Not a bad start considering it was their first time playing together, and hopefully a sign of things to come. After a few more sessions, Melv turned up to one, and that seemed to go quite well. Then, after a few more sessions, Nikki turned up. Unfortunately, Melv couldn't play because he had his fingers broken.... by Gemma, his girlfriend. Nikki then couldn't turn up because of revision for his exams at school. It seemed it was difficult to get the four-piece together to practice. In March 2007, John Ryan was invited to join the band and play Rhythm Guitar. Another member, but one who was fully dedicated to the band. The same dedication Tom and Adam have both had since the formation. Then, Melv decided to leave the band. Tom was then on the verge of leaving the band after having to deal with some personal problems, but adam convinced him to stay with the band, those two really holding the band together well, becoming very good band mates, and even closer friends. Nikki was unable to be fully dedicated to band practice, so John posted up messages pleading for a new vocalist to join the band. He received an email from Rob Staniforth, stating he was interested in the position. A couple of weeks later, they all met up... in a car park... a McDonalds car park, where Rob did a sample for the lads. It all went well, so became the new vocalist for the band. A Bassist was now needed, so Adam invited his friend Gav Barratt along to practice. He fit in very well and was very able on the bass. With the new line up, it was decided that the band would have a new name, and so came the birth of.... New Revolt. Another twist in the story... Adam left the band, on very good terms, to take time out to become a better drummer and to become more prepared for band work, in his place Carl Roberts was recruited and has fit in very well. The FINAL line-up... Rob, Tom, John, and Carl.
