I'm an amateur musician/producer currently trying to improve my musicianship, musicality, and my just-plain music. I'm a writer at heart, but music is my next great love, and I'd love to make a career from it some day, even if only a side one. The genre on my page is misleading. I actually delve into all kinds of music. I'd say "dabble in," but that sounds so unprofessional. :P I mainly work in various forms of electronica, world, hip-hop, ambient, and rock/metal. I do other stuff, but I'm not as skilled in it. I'm currently working on material suitable for scoring independent films and then actual films.
I'm known as Alucard and Fallen_angels across the World Wide Web. Common usernames, but they just might be me....
Well, I play my guitar a bit, but my laptop is shy in front crowds.
Well, I tend to follow my own style, but: Linkin Park (and Fort Minor), Graeme Norgate (Timesplitters scorer. Hell yeah!), Brian Eno, Shur-I-Kan, Mo' Horizons, Limp Bizkit, Lil Jon (at a time when all I wanted to make was party music; long past that!), Scott Storch, Vincenzo/Rivera, P.O.D (a bit), Rob Zombie (a bit), Celldweller (a bit. I notice a trend), erm....There are numerous artists that have inspired me or that I admire, but I only have one song of theirs, or don't call them an influence per se. Nick Phoenix is an example, and then there's all that excellent videogame/film music by unknown/multiple composers. I liked a number of the tracks in Saw 3's soundtrack, for example (in the movie, not on a CD).
I produce in FL Studio 6, and use a wide variety of external plugins, such as Quantum Leap RA, Quantum Leap Stormdrum, QL Hardcore Bass, Vapor, Sytrus, Toxic III.... I've got my eye on QL Symphonic Orchestra Silver.
