We're a band that take our influences from anything and everything.
We have guitars, keyboards, bass, a monster of a drummer and a classically trained singer - not quite the norm for a rock band I know! - but all I can say is check us out and see if you like what you hear - we have an album and a large following of dedicated fans - and they can't all be wrong!Band/artist history
Neon Sounds are a 5-piece band based in the Bolton/Manchester area. The general agreement between us on style is Rock, but that term is used so loosely that it almost slides off. Our influences vary from Fear Factory to Radiohead and Contemporary Jazz - passing through a myriad of other genres on the way.
Basically, we all love music for music's sake and do not wish to be categorised or pigeon-holed.Have you performed in front of an audience?We've played many gigs in and around Manchester - and there have been many fantastic moments - just the whole concept of gigging rocks! One moment in particular special moment (to me anyway) happened at the end of a set we played at a venue in Wigan; where on the last chord our bassist got too involved in the music, collapsed in a heap, and accidentally smacked my guitarist in the head with his bass...to much hillarity.

Ok - big list time I'm afraid! Here goes:
Muse, Radiohead, Fear Factory, Dream Theater, Gary Numan, R.H.C.P, Jules Holland, Herbie Hancock, Gary Moore, Hendrix, E.L.P., Incubus - TOO MANY TO MENTION! - Imagine all them and more in a big pot, and that's about what we sound like - but darker...What equipment do you use?
Neph - Korg Triton, Korg Trinity V3, B.C.Rich M7 guitar, Vantage accoustic guitar, Zoom and Danelectro FX
Psi - Gibson Les Paul Gothic, Ibanez S470, Schecter Revenger-7, Takamine accoustic, Marshall head and stack (soon to be Line-one),various stomp boxes and pedals.
Roony - Bass collection 4 string, A 5-string, although I cant remember what make! (I'll update that shortly), Zoom FX.
Si - Pearl Export kit, various cymbals from Zildjian and Paiste, Pearl double bass pedal.
Sheps - Various microphones and FX (and on one memorable occasion, a Kazoo)Anything else?
