N E Means

Belly Hop is launching with a talented rapper N E Means. Growing up in Pennsylvania he was surrounded by older cousins that introduced him at a young age to rap of the mid 90's that has inspired him to this day.

In 1996 N E Means family relocated just outside of Washington, D.C. in search of pursuing a better life. Upon moving he was involved in a serious car accident that nearly claimed his life. His mother told him that his life was a gift and that he survived to fulfill his destiny.

While enduring further difficult times in his adolescence, he found an outlet in listening to rappers express themselves through their music. He eventually started to do the same with his own thoughts through writing lyrics.

Much like a movie, his talent was discovered in a simple way; a rap battle in the lunch room at John F. Kennedy High School.

Once his peers affirmed his music he sought out a way to develop his talent. N E Means borrowed money from his brother and put a small studio together in his bedroom. He spent several hours a day giving up the outside world to produce his own underground album, learning how to record and make his own beats.

When his album caught the attention of producer King L there was a spark between the two. King L approached him with his amazing beats and they began the duo that you now hear on the Belly Hop tracks.
