Neil Salter
Hey, I'm Neil. This is going to be really simple. I want to pack a room (any size) with people who want to jump and sweat and swoon and laugh and cry and scream and fall in love with the sound of a dream.
I want to take music back to just getting friends together, having some drinks and putting their hearts out in the open for everyone to see.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
1. My friend got a guitar in Grade 7.
2. He let me play it a bit on the bus rde to school.
3. I fell deeply in love with the act of making music.
4. I got a guitar.
5. I got a few more guitars.
6. I got a pen and a pad of paper.
7. Wash, rinse, repeat.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
I'm like Travis Bickle... Anywhere, any time, any place.
Your musical influences
Bands/performers influences: Bruce Springsteen, Billy Bragg, Against Me, Mike Ness/Social Distortion, Brian Fallon/The Gaslight Anthem, Bob Dylan, Green Day, Ben Nichols/Lucero. Oh, and Pussycat Dolls... big time.
Writing influences: sunshine, california, highways, old cars, pretty girls, summer, lonliness, heartbreak, fear, time, failure, hope
What equipment do you use?
cheap Strat copy electric guitar with a Seymour Duncan invader in the bridge position, with a single volume control. A Jay Turser acoustic/electric guitar. An 20+ year old Yamaha acoustic guitar. A Traynor DynaGain 60 watt guitar amp. A Randall 30 Cube guitar amp. A Mark Hoppus Signature bass guitar. A Fender Bassman 60 watt bass amp. A crappy voice.
Anything else?

And honestly, it means the world to me that you're reading this/are here/might be listening to these songs. They're all I know and all I've got.
Cheers!
