Nathaniel Noton-Freeman

I was born in the middle of the woods of Maine without electricity or running water. I learned to whistle at an early age, and eventually took up the guitar after an unsuccessful stint as a saxophonist. I went on to attend college in Worcester, MA, where I studied music theory and composition. I'm currently working as a guitar tech, writing more music, and attempting to find my way in life.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
Generally small venues - coffeehouses, house shows, small stages, sidewalks.
Your musical influences
TONS of things. I'm into a lot of electronic-ish stuff: Aphex Twin, Boards of Canada, Bibio, Tycho, etc, but I also listen to a lot of folky things - Iron & Wine, Lost in the Trees, Nick Drake, a lot of post-rockish stuff - Explosions in the Sky, Toe, Mono, Mogwai, etc, - and a TON of progressiveish metal like Periphery, Animals as Leaders, Monuments, Tony Danza Tapdance Extravaganza, Intervals, Chimp Spanner, Cloudkicker, etc.
What equipment do you use?
I play a lovely Guild D-40. I also play a 7-string Ibanez through a 6505+, but that's for a different band.
Anything else?
