Hi, my name is Nathan Fenner, and I produce and perform all of my own music on the side. I have been since 2008, and it's been great. I'm inspired by many of my favorite musicians, and I create music in turn.

Band/artist history

I started playing guitar in 2007, listening to my share of power metal. I then joined a thrash metal band after learning a few scales. Eventually I ran out of ambition for that band and pursued different musical outlets. Over the years I evolved and become more interested in music that shows that it can be different than the norm, such as fusion jazz or progressive rock.

Your musical influences

My musical influences consist of Guthrie Govan, Hiromi Uehara, Dream Theater, Porcupine Tree, Steve Vai, and Opeth.

What equipment do you use?

I use a Schecter Damien 6 FR as my main electric guitar. My secondary electrics are a custom-built no brand single pickup guitar with a wooden finish, a Yamaha Pacifica, and an Ibanez RG2EX1.

My acoustic guitar is a 12-string Mitchell Dreadnought.

My guitar amp is a Mesa Boogie head with a Carvin cabinet. My recording amp is a Line 6 Spider III 75w amplifier.

My microphone for singing and recording is a Snowball USB microphone from Blue.

My effects for guitar is a Digitech GNX4 multieffect pedalboard.

My virtual equipment is Edirol's Orchestral, FL Studio 8, and AddictiveDrums .

Anything else?

I'd like to say, thanks to all my friends for making me a better musician, and I hope everyone has a bright musical future!
