Nasty Nat (Young Nasty)
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
I've only been on the map for about a year.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
I have played live at a few different places around Boston and look to add to the list in the coming months. I've played live at "Harper's Ferry" in Allston, MA and T's Pub in Boston, MA.
Your musical influences
So many. Lloyd Banks was one of the first rappers that got me really seriously considering trying it out. His early work, especially on the G-Unit mixtapes, introduced me to wordplay and punchlines that I had never imagined possible. He had the perfect mix of catchy rap music type ability to absolute brashness. Kanye West tweeted he believes Banks has "Gotta be Top 5" right now. Hahaha hate to drop I told you so. Beyond that though I listen to so many different types of music...even music I don't like. I'll listen to some rap that is absolute garbage just to get a feel for where people are coming from, what people are listening to and where the game is headed. I also am a huge fan of Irish music, arena rock and variations of soul and reggae.
Anything else?
Get at me for collaborations, tips, interest, hate, love, whatever you got for my music I'm all ears. I'm just trying to be heard right now...alot of people got their dreams and aspirations, I'm looking at this right now like I'm doing something I love to do. I don't care if I never sell one fuckin' mp3 or cd...I'm in this to make music I think makes a difference and is real.
