Narodni Trida

We are a UK-based band that creates mainly instrumental tracks with a strong post-rock influence. The individual members are based in Birmingham, Cardiff, Cambridge and London and bring a range of instruments, influences and styles to the band.

We've been recording since 2002 and have released one full-length CD - Exhibitionism - that was commissioned as the soundtrack to a photography exhibition in 2004. We plan to release two EPs in the first half of 2005.

Not yet. As we're all based in different parts of the country, we're looking for some one-off gigs this year.

Our tracks are a hybrid of space rock, jazz and post-rock, sometimes gentle, sometime angular and violent, always with a slight twist. Our influences include lots of improvised and systems music, jazz, space-rock and post rock.

Whilst there seems to be no one band that everyone in Narodni Trida likes universally, collectively our influences include bands like Aerial M / Papa M, Tortoise, Miles Davis, Mogwai, Slowdive, My Bloody Valentine, Shellac, Rachels, early Ride, Slint, Rodan, Godspeed You! Black Emporer, A Silver Mt Zion, Do Make Say Think, Explosions In The Sky, Hood, Low, The Necks...
