Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Born in Queens, NY to son of Jazz Legend and Grammy artist Najee. Superb was destined for great things. Through his father and his mother (a classical trained pianist) Superb found his love for music. Being around and listening to jazz records/hip hop in NY Superb at an early age had an ear to decipher what would be considered a hot sample. He would snatch it and record hot sample on tapes. An old Akai MPC 60 that his dad gave him is where the mission of his statement musically began. From NY Superb and his family moved to Virginia Beach, VA this is where he would meet hit producers The Neptunes, Bink Dawg, Teddy Riley and Nottz. Once in VA Superb also taught himself how to play the acoustic, electric and bass guitar. Taking the pointers the hit producers gave him, his Ensoniq ASR-10, EMU SP1200 and the inspiration of music from all genres Superb mastered/created his distinctive sound which included him playing live over his own beats. This led to him scoring his first track record with Blackstreet (Friend of Mine) and Bonecrusha. With his Motif Superb has taken his production game to another level scoring recent track records with his father Najee (Miyuki), Lloyd Banks, Freeway, Hot Rod, 50 Cent, Murda Mook, G.A.G.E and the list goes on....
