Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
A peice of history. Age : 22, Rank: Tha Wrec-King. Grew up in North Dallas off skillman and kingsley. I attended Northlake Elementary untill my family moved to Garland (G-Town!). From there I attended Austin Academy, but dont get twisted the name is totaly opposite of the people there and the school was in the worst neighborhood in Garland. I finished there attended Garland High School. Played football, basketball, and ran track. I started rapping my freshman year and everybody at my school knew I had the goods since then. Graduated, did some college, but figured out music is my real dream. I got a manager and a promoter and have been surviving off it ever since, but its been hard. I dropped the Prime Playas album in 2002 and it did alright locally but no major feedback. Hear are some of my notable appearences are Club Liquid, Nairobi, Palm Beach, Club Sheba's Palace, Dickerson's, D.C.T.V.,and the 5k Hip-Hop Hunt. 89.3 fm Dallas 103.5 fm Hooks Tx. I'm getting ready to drop an album with So Vicious called "List of Commandments", and my solo album entitled "Mysta J" "Tha Wrec-King" very soon by late 2004 early 2005. I'm also putting together a mixtape of all Dallas artists. Right now I'm writing a new song every day. Grindin' S.O.V.!
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Yea i rap live at Shebas Palace, and Nairobi's. I love it more than anything. I fell in love with the stage when I did my very first concert at Club Liquid's Rappers competition. I cant let it go. My special moments were when my group and I won $5000 at a talent competition of over 250 groups and my whole family was there and 95% of all my friends. Plus the group beat me at Club Liquid's competition, got blown out the water by The So Vicious Click!!!! S.O.V.
Your musical influences
My father started it off, but my musical influences are Ludacris, Twista, Eminem & D12, and 50 Cent. They are the most original. Thats what I shoot for, originality.
