My Minds Weapon are very much the sound of the present. The brainchild of guitarist/co-vocalist James Bruce and named after a Movielife lyric. The aim was to bring different flavours from each individual in the band to the post-hardcore foundation already in place. "a poppier, more melodic version of From Autum To Ashes" was one noteworthy comment from someone who listened to the bands first collection of three songs called "It's A Girl Thing." Although flattering, the goal, of course, is to put thier own spin on todays rock music. Already impressing Lockjaw records artists Tribute To Nothing at thier second show the band have earned themselves a support slot with Days In December and Through Silence and a pending show with Hiding With Girls. the band make no underground credibility hugging statements and freely admit they will play anywhere to anyone as long as people get to hear what they are about.
