MYHOO
Frank Doherty is a singer/songwriter/guitarist/fiddler and founder member of MYHOO. Together with Erik Faithfull (on Uileann Pipes and all things 'wind') we make up MYHOO a lively Irish Music band with a hint of Hot Club.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Yeh we have one!
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Yes we play around the pubs and clubs of the South East. I play guitar and fiddle while Erik plays Uileann Pipes, Flute and Whistles. The sound is completed with backing trax comprising our characteristic 'Hot Club' rhythm section.
Also I sing the better Irish ballads and some originals!
Your musical influences
Paul Brady, The Bothy Band, Moving Hearts, The Hotclub etc. etc.
What equipment do you use?
Avalon electro-acoustic guitar, acoustic fiddle with a high-quality pickup.
Anything else?
We are always looking for bigger and better gigs but I guess we really should have a manager or agent to get those on our behalf!
