My Dearest Enemy

My Dearest Enemy are a 4-piece heavy rock band from the south coast of England. Combining their love of old school thrash and metal with the newer elements of post hardcore to make a fresh sound that is both heavy and melodic.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Born in early 2003, My Dearest Enemy was originally a 3 piece, consisting of Dave, Jamie and Domino. After spending months writing and practising, the boys developed a sound that comprised elements of metal, emo and hardcore. Something that is fresh and new on the small band scene. After some small, well recieved performances, MDE went into the studio to record a Two-track demo, consisting of live favourites Shellshock and Wasted. After playing a few more shows the band decided to recruit an extra guitarist to thicken the sound, and allow for more complex riffs. After extensive searching the most likely candidate ended up being none other than Mike, Dave's younger (and slightley less mental) brother. After playing together two or three times it became obvious that Mike would fit in with the sound and style well. Shows played with Mike have been ever better recieved than the one's before and his input into the writing process has helped evolve the sound onto another level. MDE are currentley looking for management and about to go back into the studio to record their latest track 'Blood Runs Cold'.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
We play around the whole of the south coast anywhere that will have us, and are currently on the look out for more gigs and opportunities. We've been loving the response we get live, moshing gets us going!
Your musical influences
Our influences vary from funeral for a friend, glassjaw and thrice to metallica, megadeth and machine head. We have a very heavy sound with low guitars and a crashing drum sound
