Band/artist history
JG, the founder of MWO in the early 03. Born in St. Louis, MO then moved to Lincoln, NE at the age of 6. This is where he met fellow artists Northside Hustlaz (Souljah Blu & Krucial B) and where the rapping started. Back when the midwest wasnt regonized a long line of artist started to emurge (such as Bone Thugs n Harmony, Twista, DMG, Da Brat, ect.) and then really brought to the light by St. Louis native Nelly. In 2004 JG released his first project entitled " JG Presents The Midwest Outlawz" a compilation produced mostly by JG. The 2004 debut introduced a new side to the midwest, "GRIT" explains JG, "When all these cats where spittin bout money and cars and juels and all that shit we was keepin it gangsta, givin somethin for the hoods to bump about what they goin through. Anybody can jump on a hot beat and come out wit a hit record but only a few can jump on a track and come wit that real shit, you know that shit that motivates people, whatever to get money, make a diffrence or or straight up tell these muthafuckas you sick of takin all they shit!" Early 2005 MWO made a big move, signing with highly respected Q Dogg & Los (1/2 of falling rap group Clicalation). JG, Los & Q Dogg went on to start their own label, BLOCC STOP ENT. Soon after JG released his first solo album entitled "Fully Loaded" a hard hitting reality check to the world. Soon after fellow label mates L.Q. dropped their ground breaking mixtape "Package Liquor". In 2005 MWO introduced artists such as Lil Flo Oxygen Mista Teddy Whil Out Murdah Spade G Nicole Demystic Durty Money and many more! Late 2005 JG came back with his second solo album in the same year "The Testimony Of G" which was produced fully by JG and only featured a small amount of guest appearances. But one was ms Asia Jones, a 7 year old girl who sung her heart out in the hit single "Money". "Haha "I need some money", yea she really touched me when she told me uncle J I need some money! It was like a light bulb over my head fo real! Had her get in the booth and coached her through the whole track! She gon be somethin special when she get older let me tell yall that!" After "The Testimony" JG had one more trick up his sleve before the year ended. "MWO II The Connection" the second chapter compilation was a real hit as soon as it reached the streets. With club bangers like "Take It Outside", "Lets Talk Big", "Playa Balla", "Too Many" and gangsta cuts like "Hitman", "Hatin On Me", "Scars" this album couldnt go wrong. Now we're here to 2006 JG just finshed up his most anticipated album yet "Life On The Line" which will have a bonus disc entitled "JG Presents Too Gangsta 4 Da Radio The Mixtape Volume 2" and it will be droppin sometime in April. Then for the following month it will be Q DOGGs turn with his first solo album ever entitled "2 Sydez Ov A Dogg". Soon after that the release everyones been waiting for, Los "Mo Derty Bluez", which will entirely be produced by JG & Q Dogg so you know its going to be hot. The raw, never before heard tone of voice which Los brings to the table should be out early sumer this year. We know you cant wait that long so we posted the straight up fuck you to your face cut "A Dayz Work" to the right.
