We're a modern rock band from Haywards Heath, each of us take different inspirations and have different tastes, and play in different styles, so as we progress i hope these differences will show through in our music.
Thom, the lead singer, is mainly inspired by H.I.M and likes to show sombre emotions in his voice.
Kiran, the guitarist, takes inspiration from Mikey of Incubus as well as AJ. He likes to make interesting rhythms and tempos as well as melodies.
Tom, the bassist, takes great inpsiration from Incubus and Jamiroquai, and so likes to try and include a bit of funk and slap.
Alex, the drummer, i think mainly takes inspiration from himself and his previous drum tutors. He like to keep a steady, run of the mill beat...
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
In the history of our band we have had five different singers, including Thom our most recent and successful one. The band started out as just me(Tom), Kiran and Tye. The founding member of MUTED. We try playing to this cheesy keyboard tune i made up, but it turned out shit. I eventually bought a bass, and uor first song, Sand, began. Later we aquired Alex as our drummer after an audition. Same deal with Thom.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
So far we have played live twice, once in "Music Scene" in Brighton, and at our achievement assembly at school. Its was great fun
Your musical influences
We take influence from a number of band but the mains ones would be : Incubus, The Chillies, AJ, Muse, Jamiroquai, Pixies, Silverchair, Snow Patrol, The Verve Pipe, etc
What equipment do you use?
Ok the guitar we got between us are: Yamaha Pacifia 112, Ibanez GRX 170, Ibanez TCY 10, and one bass guitar (for me) Stagg BC300. In terms of amps we have 100w Peavey Eurosys 1PM, two 10w Marshalls, 15w Peavey. Abismal i know.
