Mutagenesis

We are deathpop. We shred up guitars and make them sing with robots.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Mutagenesis started out as a nameless one-man hobby project back in '96. Jim Reijers - born in Waalre (Holland), 1978 - banged out hundreds of weird Screamtracker modules that still roam shamefully on his hard disk somewhere. These experimental exercises are a far cry from the stuff he produces today. The present-day Mutagenesis is still hard to pinpoint, as its output shifts from electro/techno-ish stuff to 80's synthpop blended with heavy guitars to classical compositions. All of it strangely catchy. Influences include the Cure, the Flaming Lips, Deadsy, Feindflug, Gary Numan and H.P. Lovecraft.
