You are right! Fitting music into categories is often impossible. But you can at least try. It helps me as listener to find the music I want to listen to.
If you are interested in what I and others think about false song classifications, you can read the thread I started in the Community - General Support (29 Jul 2004) "Misuse of the Dixieland charts". Then I think you will understand, that this can be a problem. - At least we seem to agree on one thing: Your song is in no way related to dixieland.

i put all my songs in unrelated categories because trying to fit music into categories is dumb to me. i had no idea id chart with one though! sorry to the actual dixieland fans.

"That half awake half asleep state" - a wonderful piece of music ... and the second place in the Dixieland charts! But can you explain one thing: What has this song to do with dixieland music?

arrows blinking? youre a winner!
this did lead to trouble with soundclick so now everything is categorized as good as i can. i still think this is unfathomably stupid. in fact the whole reason i started doing that was because when i DID upload songs in the appropriate category-i was getting warned for too many genres on one page! IT IS ILLEGAL FOR YOU TO BE DIVERSE. so keep it simple, we dont want you to try to push the envelope in any way whatsoever.
