Quentin J. Thompson is a jack of all music genres’ master of none. All the music that I compose is a fusion of past, present and future. I am a studio composer, producer, and songwriter. I’m a one man band. I collaborate with other artist as much as possible to keep my ear to the street of the music changes and latest sound effects.Have you performed in front of an audience?No, I mainly compose in my home studio. But, I will consider playing live.
Your musical influences
First I would have to say my Mother .She got me started listening to music at an early age. She would buy 45’s and albums by the truckloads. I would listen to music all the time. I said one day I would combine all the music styles and come up with something people could feel. As far as musical influences I would have to say the late Roger Troutman of the Zapp Band. Also Paul Hardcastle.What equipment do you use?
Keyboard,QY-10 sequencer , Drum machine.Anything else?
I try to give the feeling that individuals are listening to a well orchestrated band.I try not to create a repetitive track.When you listen to my music you will hear instruments not used anymore by producers or composers.Just listen and you be the judge, but give me a fair chance.My goal and dream is to do music for movies and films.I could take any piece of footage and bring it to life.Happy or sad.Do me a favor?
