Music to Light
Dave Woods is a Jazz Guitarist and computer composer living in Poughkeepsie New York. He plays, Composes, and runs a small one man non profit organization called Music to Light.(www.musictolight.org) where he teaches disadvantaged inner city kids how to write music with syenthesizers, the computer, and digital audio.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
I've been playing for 55 years. I was a composer, arranger, teacher, in New York City for 20 Years, and also played recording sessions as well as gigs.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
I compose my own tracks and improvise over them live with the guitar. Sometimes I do duos and trios.
Your musical influences
I majored in music composition at Arizona State University. I love any kind of true folk music from all over the world, Jazz, Blues, and 20th century composition.

Roland Syhthesizers, Sonar Producer 3, Makie stage Speakers and PA System, Taylor, Eastman, and Fender Guitars
