Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Music for Mavericks Entertainment is a newly formed independent urban music label based out of Edmonton, AB. Originally conceived in 1997, Music for Mavericks Entertainment was founded in 2001 by Marlon Wickham and Bercham Richards. With an ear for recognizing true talent, Music for Mavericks Entertainment is now home to Billy Blitz, Proveli Paragon, Western Union, Nucasselle Brown, Politic Live, The Point Guards, Aliby and Spidey. All of whom share a sense of camaraderie and loyalty with each other and their label.
Not only is Music for Mavericks Entertainment a label that deeply rooted in family values, our very name is a statement that reassures our block that we will forever make music for them and the on-going struggle.
Although in our infant stages, we have set our bar of expectation high, and know our goals will be reached in the coming years through a strong work ethic, loyalty, and a love not only for the music, but a love and need to create quality music that is cutting edge. As said in our company’s slogan, Music for Mavericks Entertainment is committed to innovation.
