Musical Vanity
My name is Nick Boyd, and im 15 years old. I play guitar, saxophone, and a tiny bit of drums. My guitar is a Squier Strat, by fender, i play through my Crate MX120R. I'm sort of in a band, kinda. We dont have any songs of our own, or any shows or anything, but we're getting there. its sorta hard with being sorta busy.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
I was in a band for a talent show that lasted maybe..two months?
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
I dont play live cause i dont have a band to play with..but i did play live twice. The first time was the school talent show. Me and three friends played a cover of Guns N' Roses, "Sweet Child O' Mine." I played lead guitar, and had my own..sorta..decent version of the solo cause i wasnt good enough to learn the whole thing before the show. But it was pretty sweet. I loved it. The other time i played live was at a school choir concert. We played "Bohemian Rhapsody" by Queen. I totally bombed it, it sounded HORRIBLE. I missed like..every note..but yea..thats about it.
Your musical influences
Um, Slash is a huge influence on me. I really like his music. So..shoot for that i guess? David Gilmour inspires me to not be like a shredder or anything..so i guess that counts. I dunno..lots of people, some ideas from everywhere, and tons of bands.

Squier Strat, by Fender, and my CRATE MX120R amplifier.
