Story behind the song
“Lyrically, it was conceived as part of a creative writing exercise, based on the works of author Piers Anthony. I originally wrote the music on bass guitar and figured it out on guitar later. Which is ironic because during this recording, I couldn’t get my hands on a bass, so the so-called ‘bass’ track was recorded on guitar and transposed a couple of octaves down for the desired effect.”
