In a time when it seemed Texas rap music consisted of swangers, sipping syrup, and the late great dj screw there emerged a collective of young lyrical desperados from the wild wild western district of the lone star state. Lead by one Omar “Sinsation“ Roberts and Brandon “B-lo“ Brackens the Whole Nine Entertainment is rapidly becoming the face and voice of the west Texas hip-hop music scene. The conglomerates members consist of Russell “Russell-lay” Woods, Courtney “Hustle Payper“ Perkins, Alfred “Yea“ Rollie, and in house producer Jessie “Young Titan” Amador ; most of whom have known each other throught school or had some type of encounter in the dusty tumble weed infested streets of West Texas. With undeniable talent and swagger the group is assured to fill the most Hungriest of music fans and hip-hop junkies. Dubbed the Texas version of Louisiana super group The HotBoys ; Tha Whole Nine Entertainment mixes hardcore lyricism, edgy song subjects, and popular 808 bounce beats in attempt to gather fans from all walks of life. After releasing several home studio recorded mixtapes which only gain them local recognition, the group has set out for national success. Their freshman underground effort entitled R.N.M (Real N***a music) features some of texas more established artist such as Tum Tum, Big tuck, and Twisted Black. Though the cd does have guest star appearances in no way, shape, or form is the party of five relying on anyone but each other to take them to that next level of success. Ready to put the street life behind them and focus on a more legal tender tha whole nine sets their aim high. Ready to shoot to the stars and never look back. “yeah one of the original members of our group [Young Thousand, an artist that had just signed to Twisted Black’s scarred for life brand] just caught a conspiracy case and they gave him twenty two years in the federal prison system.” says Sinsation reluctantly. “He [ young Thousand] was my mentor and the heart of my small city, so when he got locked I took it as a personal challenge for me to bring light to our area.” Tha Whole Nine Entertainment is ready to except that challenge and take on the wide world of critics and naysayers.
