Mellow and atmospheric, Saints and Sinners explores the duality in all of us. Brenda sings lead with my backing vocals, and Garrett Sweeney (Monster Magnet) adds reflective acoustic guitar as the chorus longs for “yesterday.

Alternative
NYC underground songwriting where synth pulse meets guitar haze. Emerging from 80s collaborations and evolving quietly, the project moves between dark pop, alt-rock atmosphere, and emotional voltage. Appearances are rare. The signal is steady. The project reflects Vincze’s long-standing exploration of transformation, intensity, and survival recurring themes in his broader creative work.

Story behind the song
"Saints and Sinners" was born out of the realization that none of us are purely one thing. We all carry light and shadow, grace and regret, often in the same breath. I wrote most of the song as a meditation on that tension: the way we justify, the way we remember, and the way we sometimes wish we could rewind time to a moment that felt cleaner or more certain. Brenda brings the emotional weight to the lead vocal, with me adding background harmonies to deepen the sense of reflection. She also contributed a verse, which gave the song another layer of honesty and perspective. Garrett Sweeney (of Monster Magnet) plays the acoustic guitar solo, with a very subtle distorted electric guitar part woven through the track, adding grit beneath the reflectionand in a small studio twist, instead of choosing one acoustic solo take, I ended up combining two different passes. It initially irked Garrett (understandably), but once the two takes were blended, the song finally clicked into place. At its core, the song isn’t about condemnation - it’s about recognition. We’re all saints. We’re all sinners. And sometimes "yesterday" feels safer than facing who we are today.
Lyrics
Saints And Sinners Saints and sinners That's what we all are We cling to it like some kind of dream They say we're governed by some kind of Universal law... Fact backed up by fantasy 'Cause... (Chorus) Yesterday.....it's so far way Yesterday.....it's like a dream to me Yesterday.....it's just a moment in time Yesterday.....it's where I want to be, right now Desperation Written in silence... Scarlet faces, can't hide the shame We court the moral dance, hoping for Some saving grace... A tainted view of what could be 'Cause... (Repeat chorus) I've yet to learn forgiveness I'm not one to forget Can anyone remember Take me back.....oh take me back 'Cause.....(Repeat chorus)
