BajaDoll is actually Rick Hansen an award winning singer/songwriter from Brooklyn NY currently living in California. The name BajaDoll came about because in the years he lived in Rosarito Mexico he had a small Mexican ceremonial dressed figurine mounted on the dash of his van that guided him, his wife and dog "Loki" to many adventures on the Baja Peninsula. The doll remains with him today and sits on a shelf in his studio. Rick has performed around the world and has written and produced many songs about love, life and general good times as well as fronting many bands thru the years. Lyrics
Livin’ On The Street Of Broken Dreams I just bought a rundown house on the street of broken dreams I need to do a little work but, I got it really cheap All it cost me was a broken heart and lots of sleepless nights I think that when I move on in, it’ll be alright She broke my heart and that’s no lie And put me on this slide On the street of broken dreams I will surely die I’m livin’ on the street of broken dreams Livin’ on the street of broken dreams The grass is brown out on the lawn, the trees above are bare No birds will sing up in the sky, but I don’t really care I don’t think I’m gunna fix the roof above my head Hope the rain will wash away all those tears I’m gunna shed She broke my heart and that’s no lie, and put me on this slide On the street of broken dreams I will surely die Some day I’m going to sell this house and move myself away And I won’t live on broken dreams one more lonely day Till then you’ll find me in my place, the last one on the right Down the street of broken dreams, almost out of sight You broke my heart and that’s no lie And put me on this slide On the street of broken dreams I will surely die I’m livin’ on the street of broken dreams I’m livin’ on the street of broken dreams I just met my neighbors Over there that’s Lota Heartbreak And over there that’s Mr. and Mrs. Lonley I think I’m gunna like it here.
