Major Snagg is the invented name of the 'band' that perform all my own musical creations. (songs and instrumentals). I play guitars, bass, rudimentary keyboards, harmonica, and sing. Melody has always been important to me... lyrics and guitar solos have to say or communicate something. I create musical worlds that I hope that you dear listener, will also want to explore and live in for a few moments...or longer if you feel that way inclined.

Story behind the song
Kenny Rooke (the bass player of the band) wrote this song, but we all helped with the band arrangement. I've not so much re-recorded this song, as we never actually recorded it at a, 'Professional Studio', back then. I still remember how to play this from memory... we played it literally dozens of times back in the 80s. So, this is another pretty accurate 're-construction' of a song that we played in a band called, Dolce Vita... the early 1980s. Again, I've gone a lot further than the, 'live' with only 4 musicians', version that we enjoyed playing back then.
Lyrics
Close Your Eyes (Dolce Vita) 1980 guitar intro: ... E / F#m / A / B // E / F#m / A / B Come on and close your eyes and share a dream with me. Tomorrow seems so far away, can’t you see. and if we don’t meet again, I hope that we’ll still be friends to be or not to be ... Lonely days, and nights, I think of you even though you’re far away, my heart sings out this tune. and when we kissed goodbye, tears came but did I cry, it won’t be very long till you’re back ... How did it happen [ I don’t know ] who fell in love first, [and did it] did it show. Guitar solo (same as intro) Many’s the time when I’ve dreamt of a love like this. I’ve read the books and now you’re number one on my list. One day we’ll look back at this, and remember our fist kiss, there’s no shame to fall in love, no shame. How did it happen [ I don’t know ] who fell in love first, [and did it] did it show. various guitar solos to end.
