Good Day to You! I hope my humble offerings of LIVE MUSICIANSHIP give a few moments of pleasure.
Worked nearly all my life with children. Age 14 to 23 with Joan Bates Dancing School, Stockport as Pianist. Then 27 to 30 with kids talent shows etc at Pontins Holidays plus Lounge Pianist and Organist. Age 30 to retirement in 2019 organising Functions and Entertainment for Child and Family Audiences with my wife Susan. Have lived Stockport, Prestatyn, Wilmslow and now somewhere very quiet on the Staffordshire-Cheshire Border, England. We were NEVER out of work - ever! and commanded high fees as Entertainers.

Story behind the song
The famous waltz "The Blue Danube" (An der schönen blauen Donau) was composed by Johann Strauss II in 1866, and first performed with choir in 1867, becoming a massive hit in its instrumental form at the 1867 Paris World's Fair. Composer: Johann Strauss II, known as "The Waltz King". Composition Year: 1866. First Performance (Choral): February 15, 1867, by the Vienna Men's Choral Association (Wiener Männergesang-Verein). Original Form: It started as a choral piece with lyrics by Josef Weyl, but Strauss later adapted it into the popular instrumental waltz for the Paris World's Fair.
