Last Annual was a melodic skate-punk band from Chicago, Illinois, active in the early to mid-2000s. While they never achieved mainstream fame, they were a staple of the vibrant Chicago punk scene during that era, known for their high-speed energy and tight vocal harmonies.
The band was a regular performer at iconic Chicago venues like the Fireside Bowl, The Metro, and The Bottom Lounge. They were part of a tight-knit community of Chicago punk bands that included groups like Much The Same, Break the Silence, and Jinxpack.
The band toured venues throughout the Midwest and was among a handful of local acts invited by Ernie Ball to play the Chicago leg of Warped Tour in 2004. Last Annual released one EP in 2004 along with a handful of self-recorded demos. Since the band predates the era of streaming-first releases, they are not widely available on platforms like Spotify. However, much of their music is still preserved here on SoundClick, where you can find high-quality MP3s of their tracks.
The band eventually broke up as members moved on to other projects, but they remain a piece of the history of the "Midwest Punk" explosion of the early 2000s.
