Story behind the song
The song opens with a dirge for a woman who has died. As a spider finishes its web in the corner foreground of a tree and nearby headstone, the pallbearers pass beyond to approach the open grave, mourners awaiting. Unbeknownst to her friends and family, her eyes slowly open and her song begins. The song ends as her coffin is lowered into the grave. She closes her eyes and then sleeps peacefully as she is blanketed by the earth, to awaken again as an infant in her mother's arms.
