MR. CLUTCH Bwerani Johnson, a.k.a. Mr. Clutch is a Hip-Hop legend in his own hometown of Milwaukee Wisconsin, at just the young age of 25. This artist started his career at the young tender age of 10 performing for the local Hang Tough campaigns. It was later when he made his mark participating in local talent shows and various showcases opening up for local acts as well as national acts such as KRS-One, X-Clan, and the 69 Boyz. In 1997 He got his first break and signed with an independent label by the name of Black Eye Records out of Rockford, IL. With this label he recorded his first LP, The World Is Yours, which was sold in local Milwaukee stores and various mom’s and pops stores through out the Midwest. He also opened up for national recording artist Twista on different occasions. With this LP he did what no other artist in Wisconsin had ever done. He was the first artist to ever do a live show on the number one station in Wisconsin V-100. Due to the lack of money and understanding of the business and operation of the label he waited for his contract to end and opted the right not to sign with the label again. Mr. Clutch stands out not only with his 6’7” 210lbs frame but by the way he mixes various styles with his baritone voice. He provides the sound for the streets but yet he still possesses the lyrical ability to smash any emcee in a battle. His distinctive voice separates him from the rest of the competition. With his voice, lyrics and the right music he is destined for stardom. Mr. Clutch will provide the world with a good look on how the Midwest should really be represented.
